Screenprints: The Liminal Divide
Before Christine Goodale left printmaking, she was absorbed by screen printing. The challenges of containing and layering color took her a long way. She spent time working with Irwin Hollander, past Head of the Printmaking Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Later she was the sabbatical replacement for CAA Printmaking Head Connor Everts for a year. Her last serigraphs involved making series of prints, like the Nice Series, that deal with dawn, noon and twilight colors in the Mediterranean light.
